Today's society is experiencing ever-increasing concerns about accountability, transparency and ethical business practices.
In Norway, we have therefore introduced the Openness / Transparency Act, a piece of legislation whose purpose is to promote transparency and the provision of information.
In order for this to be possible, the law requires companies to survey and assess how human rights and working conditions are safeguarded throughout the company's value chain.
Furthermore, the companies must report which measures have been taken to safeguard human rights and how effective they have been.
In line with the legislation, and in cooperation with our business partners, Skigaarden wants to contribute to promoting companies' respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the delivery of services.
