Skigaarden has continued this tradition of making sure that guests are as comfortable as possible.Our apartment complex Utsikten, is a good place to come home to after being outside for the day. It is situated in our main building, so you have inhouse access to all our restaurants.

Like all our appartments, Utsikten 2 is a good mix of rustic mountain charm, combined with modern amenities.This apartment welcomes you in to an extra living room, perfect for retreating in the evening. It also has a practical walk-in closet by the entrance, perfect for storing your skigear. The spacious main living room offers a generous dinner table, perfect for socialising with friends, eating a takeaway dinner from our kitchen, or playing cards with your kids. It has a cosy sofa area, and a kitchen corner with all equipment necessary for a stay at Skigaarden. Outside, there is a veranda that is ski in/ski out, with spectacular view over the mountains.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lovely master bedroom has a double bed with entrance on both sides and an en suite bathroom. The two others have comfy bunk beds and a shared bathroom. The interior is a first-class combination of traditional Norwegian and modern styles. Lean back and rest your eyes on the mighty Hemsedal mountains on the other side of the valley.

SUMMER IDYLL IN HEMSEDAL

Imagine awakening on a summer morning, wandering into the main room and enjoying a view of the magnificent Hemsedal mountains. Magnificent and gorgeous at the same time. Memories of yesterday’s wonderful hike at Holdeskaret return.It is good to be high in the mountains. Today, you look forward to outsmarting a large trout in Hemsila.

Skigaarden lies at the entrance of a open mountain area, Holdeskaret. Here you will find many miles of crosscountrytrails, one of the most visited is Beihovdløypa. It is a lovely tour, with a charming café on the way, perfect for a "vaffelpause"( ask a Norvegian)! Summertime, it is a good place to go cycling, and of course, always a good place to go hiking.
